The Douglas Tigers lost against the Jesuit Marauders back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Douglas had to suffer through a rough 79-36 loss at the hands of Jesuit. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Douglas in their matchups with Jesuit: they've now lost five in a row.
Reese Torres and Caden Thacker certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Torres scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds, while Thacker scored 10 points. Thacker scored a full 27.8% of Douglas' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jesuit, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Douglas will take on Vacaville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Jesuit's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spanish Springs at 7:15 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Spanish Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
