AAAAA Region 7A recap September 24, 2013
Sequoyah scaled the state rankings by moving to 160 from 206 this week, the biggest jump in AAAAA Region 7A. The Chiefs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Riverwood 32-28.
Creekview lost to Kell 32-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Isaiah Rodgers was a bright spot for the Grizzlies, as he ran for 16 yards and caught 6 passes for 92 yards in the defeat.
On the heels of Kyle Wilkie and Rodgers, Creekview has had great success on offense. Wilkie leads the league in passing with 660 yards, while Rodgers has rushed for 230 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Northview's Matty Biondich, with 254 yards on 18 catches.
Forsyth Central led the league in scoring this week by notching 35 points on Forsyth Central.
