Interscholastic League [ILH] I recap September 24, 2013
Larry Tuileta and Kanawai Noa provided fans with a highlight when they connected against St. Francis. The connection was good for 57 yards, the longest such play in Interscholastic League [ILH] I this season.
Reupena Fitisemanu of Punahou ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against the Saints last week. Fitisemanu scampered for 60 yards on the play and finished with 60 on the day as his team beat St. Francis.
Punahou's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Buff n' Blue feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tuileta has thrown for 1,010 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Noa has 24 catches for 549 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between 'Iolani and Punahou. The Raiders enters the contest ranked 14th in the state, while Kale Ane's team ranks first.
The Buff n' Blue added to the longest winning streak in Interscholastic League [ILH] I this week by beating the Saints, 63-8. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
