The Brunswick Academy Vikings will face off against the St. Catherine's Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brunswick Academy comes in on four and St. Catherine's on three.
Brunswick Academy barely beat Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brunswick Academy was the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association on Saturday. Ten seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lexi Vaughan Howerton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. McKenna Faith Bryant also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, St. Catherine's got the win against Hanover on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Saints have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenna Keefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kinnady Branch, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Frazier, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
St. Catherine's lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Brunswick Academy's record now sits at 6-1. As for St. Catherine's, their record is now 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Brunswick Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Catherine's struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
