A Season-Best Performance from Richard Vanderhost Leads Westover over Triton
Westover was led to victory by Richard Vanderhost, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Vanderhost threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Vanderhost has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 85.2 passing yards per game.

Jacob Moore Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Jacob Moore's big game helped extend Terry Sanford's winning streak to three on Thursday. On Friday, Overhills got the W thanks in part to Jordan Bryant playing the best football he has all season. Bryant threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 13-for-13 passing, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Overhills is 2-1 when Bryant posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Western Harnett's probably not too fond of Bryant given he always seems to get the better of them. Bryant threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in September of 2023.

Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Justice Clifton
Terry Sanford was led to victory by Justice Clifton, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Clifton wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). The game was his fifth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.
For the season, Clifton has averaged 6.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 6 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging two total tackles per game.

Latrell Carter Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Latrell Carter of Pine Forest. Carter rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (105.8) per game.
The defeat snapped Pine Forest's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Carter and Pine Forest will take on E.E. Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
