The Winston Academy Patriots had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Washington 35-7 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Winston Academy who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Omar Scott, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Scott is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Jayson Mcmillin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Winston Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Winston Academy will face off against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowling Green is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
