The Liberty Raiders were the 47-36 winner over the WestSide Renegades when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Liberty had to suffer through a rough 84-33 loss at the hands of WestSide. Liberty was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.
WestSide can attribute much of their success to Austin Bishop, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists. The contest was Bishop's third in a row with at least ten points. Brayden French was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Liberty and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for WestSide, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Liberty will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on James Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. WestSide will be home for the holidays to greet Mingo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mingo Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully WestSide likes a good challenge.
