The Mehlville Panthers waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Parkway South with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. For Mehlville, this counts as revenge for the 57-53 loss Parkway South walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Parkway South still got an impressive performance from Eddie Ahearn, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Ahearn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Mehlville's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Parkway South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mehlville will challenge Pattonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parkway South's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lutheran South at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
