The Forsan Buffaloes had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Christoval 34-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Forsan, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Grant Roman was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Roman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.
Forsan's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Stanton and 2-6 Christoval (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.1% over those games). As for Christoval, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsan will face off against Ozona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ozona has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 243 points over their last five games. As for Christoval, they will head out on the road to face off against Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
