Richards extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 19-9 in the process. They blew past the Bremen Braves 11-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Bremen, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16. They haven't had much luck with Richards recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

For Bremen's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Coming up, Richards will face off against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Bremen, they will square off against Thornton Fractional South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.54 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
