Oak Grove is 1-9 against Sterlington since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Oak Grove Tigers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Sterlington Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Oak Grove and three for Sterlington.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-25, which was the final score in Oak Grove's tilt against Lincoln Prep on Wednesday. Oak Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Meanwhile, Sterlington pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Simsboro. Sterlington has struggled against Simsboro recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sterlington, they bumped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Oak Grove was dealt a bruising 59-12 defeat at the hands of Sterlington in their previous meeting back in November. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Oak Grove was down 36-6.
