Brandon has gone 8-2 against Madison Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brandon extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Lynnon Rhodes. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Jackson Academy on Tuesday for which the team can thank Rhodes, who had 40 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (113-106) Brandon actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25, 15-13.

Brandon relied on the efforts of Katie Thornton, who had 12 digs, and Karley Grantham, who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Grantham has posted over her last 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Madison Central faced Newton County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Jaguars blew past the Cougars 3-0.
Brandon's record now sits at 26-8. As for Madison Central, their record is now 25-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Brandon has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Madison Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Brandon couldn't quite get it done against Madison Central in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
