The La Porte Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Angleton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Porte is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
La Porte pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Ball 66-60.
Despite the loss, La Porte had strong showings from Trent Callies, who scored 12 points along with seven steals, and Phillip Ned, who scored nine points along with five assists and five steals. Jayden Martinez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Angleton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 47-43 to Manvel. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Angleton in their matchups with Manvel: they've now lost six in a row.
La Porte has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Angleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
La Porte couldn't quite finish off Angleton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 55-53. Thankfully for La Porte, Myalek Woods (who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
