The Alvin Yellowjackets had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over Killeen on Friday.
Alvin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddy Kincaide, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Kincaide has scored at least 25% of Alvin's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Holloway, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
Alvin's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Killeen, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Alvin will take on Central Heights at 1:20 p.m. on Friday. Killeen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against La Joya at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully La Joya focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday.
