It was a good run, but the Combs Coyotes unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 77-54 defeat at the hands of American Leadership Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Combs of the 64-54 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Despite the loss, Combs still got an impressive performance from Johnathon Byaus, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Byaus hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Tuckfield, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Combs' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9. As for American Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Combs will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Poston Butte is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for American Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arizona College Prep is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
