The Eagle Mustangs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Madison Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Eagle faced Middleton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eagle took a hard 59-42 fall against Middleton. Eagle was down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Berkley Jones, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Thompson, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Madison was beaten by Rigby 62-34 on Tuesday.
Eagle's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
Everything came up roses for Eagle against Madison in their previous matchup back in December of 2017 as the squad secured a 58-26 victory. Will Eagle repeat their success, or does Madison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
