The biggest upset of the week belonged to Puckett, who took down 250th ranked Loyd Star, 29-14.
St. Joseph Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 6 this week by beating Amite County, 42-0. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Bruins.
St. Joseph Catholic's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Hanneke threw for 123 and one touchdown and Nick Beasley had 105 yards receiving. On the ground Brett Burgess chipped in 64 yards. Alex Cosmich helped St. Joseph Catholic's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
Flip Godfrey's team's Hanneke and Beasley have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hanneke has thrown for 769 yards this season, while Beasley, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 14 catches for 426 yards. The Wolves' Hakeem Carr leads the league in rushing yards with 547.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place St. Joseph Catholic takes on second place Wesson. The Bruins topped the Trojans last week, while Wesson beat Enterprise.

ROBERT RAINES's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in 2A Region 6. The Trojans defeated the Trojans 42-0 earlier in the week.
