The Aucilla Christian Warriors will take on the Crossroad Academy Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. Aucilla Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 695th, while Crossroad Academy is ranked 225th).
With a playoff game on the line, Aucilla Christian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-60 win over the Tigers. Aucilla Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Aucilla Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Bass out in front who scored 21 points along with seven assists and three steals. Bass hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Gray, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Crossroad Academy pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gadsden County. Crossroad Academy's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Aucilla Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Crossroad Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Aucilla Christian was dealt a bruising 79-48 loss at the hands of Crossroad Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Can Aucilla Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
