The Wright City Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Lebanon 69-38. While losing is never fun, Wright City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Lebanon is ranked 108th).
Lebanon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kory Hough out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hough has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mason Huber, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Wright City dropped their record down to 6-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wright City will face off against St. Clair on Thursday. St. Clair is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they will head out on the road to square off against Hermann at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hermann is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
