Video: T.J. Green high school highlights
Unlike NFL teams, colleges weren't clamoring for T.J. Green.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound safety was a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, was rated the 103rd-best athlete in the country and received a modest six offers.
The 2013 graduate of Sylacauga (Ala.)
bypassed offers from Auburn, Cal and Cincinnati, among others, and picked Clemson, which turned out to be a fantastic selection. See high school footage of 25 of the best players in this year's draft
Green did it all for Sylacauga, where he was known as Thomas. He scored on nine receiving touchdowns as a senior in high school and played one season at receiver at Clemson before switching over to safety. He started just one game, but then had breakthrough season as a junior with 95 tackles and a sack before declaring for the draft.
He's projected as a late first round, early second round selection. None of the experts on the current CBS Sports mock draft boards
select Green in the first round, but experts have been wrong on him before.
