Grove City Christian put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 35-3 win over Fisher Catholic. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.
Grove City Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Lautenschleger led the charge by rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Cayden Carroll also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, West Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 21-13 to Northeastern.
Grove City Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for West Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.
