While Coleman put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Gillett. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Makenzie Nowak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Nowak was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Coleman let Alyssa Kurth and Paige Tuell run wild. Kurth went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Tuell went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Macy Nowak, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Coleman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Coleman's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Gillett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coleman will square off against Gibraltar at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gillett, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lourdes Academy at 9:00 a.m.
