The Hauser Jets's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Hauser earned a 45-38 victory over Clarksville. The win was just what Hauser needed coming off of a 66-20 loss in their prior match.
Hauser's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abby Manley, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bella Kilps, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Morristown beat Edinburgh 52-41 on Saturday. The win was just what Morristown needed coming off of a 60-31 loss in their prior game.
DDanika Rutledge was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jayla Keithley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Hauser's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Morristown, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-12.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Hauser have been dynamite from deep this season, having only drained 30.6% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Morristown, though, as they've only made 35.1% of their threes per game this season. Given Hauser's sizeable advantage in that area, Morristown will need to find a way to close that gap.
