Last Saturday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Temple Christian made off with a 37-36 win over Trinity.
Luke Cisneros was the offensive standout of the matchup as he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Rife, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Fellowship Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-52 loss to Covenant Classical on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fellowship Academy in their matchups with Covenant Classical: they've now lost five in a row.
Temple Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Fellowship Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-23.
Temple Christian couldn't quite finish off Fellowship Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 44-42. Can Temple Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
