Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr.'s Big Game Leads Irmo over River Bluff
Irmo picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr.. Brand Jr. was dynamite, rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 120 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Those 210 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
River Bluff's probably not too fond of Brand Jr. given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Brand Jr. saw the Gators), he threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Tanner Short Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Chapin had to settle for second even though Tanner Short put up the best numbers he has all season. Short picked up two sacks and made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
If history really does repeat itself, Short might just drop another big game when he faces off against River Bluff on Friday. When Short last faced the Gators back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Dutch Fork Wins 14th-Straight Thanks to Maurice Anderson
Maurice Anderson was instrumental in extending Dutch Fork's winning streak to 14 on Friday. Anderson wasn't messing around, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. The match was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
Dutch Fork pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Anderson and Dutch Fork will head out to square off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Chapin Gets a Boost from Martin in 33-32 Loss
Cole Martin posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
On the year, Martin has averaged 45.1 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.71 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 80.86 rushing yards.

Dutch Fork picked up their 14th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ethan Offing. Offing did his part (and then some), rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.
On the year, Offing has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 212.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had two passing touchdowns.
