Despite the loss, Madison-Grant still got an impressive performance from Maddy Moore, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Moore hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Madalee Holloway, who scored five points along with two blocks.
Madison-Grant struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Hannah Holmes, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Northfield. Elli Baker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Madison-Grant has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Northfield, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-11.
Madison-Grant will be playing at home against Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alexandria-Monroe presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Madison-Grant in Indiana (Alexandria-Monroe is ranked 88th, while Madison-Grant is ranked 304th). As for Northfield, they will head out on the road to take on Whitko at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Whitko will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
