Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Flambeau

Flambeau had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Northwood on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 59-37 margin over the Evergreens. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won four contests in a row.

Flambeau's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Kopacz led the charge by putting up 20 points and three steals. Kopacz's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Chanse Ludescher, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Flambeau smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Flambeau's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Northwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Flambeau will venture away from home to face off against Cornell at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwood, they will head out to square off against Birchwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
