The Loudonville Redbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Lucas at home and fell 82-54. If Loudonville was looking for revenge after losing 66-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Logan Toms was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds for Lucas. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Toms has scored all season. Aidan Culler was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds.
Loudonville has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Lucas, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Loudonville will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crestline is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Lucas, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Comets at 6:15 p.m. on February 3rd. Central Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
