Softball Recap: Renton Drops Highest Score of Season Against Foster

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Renton). Everything went their way against the Foster Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 20-10 victory. The Red Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024 (when they won 22-4).

Mayliahna Pitoau was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, four runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adriuana Hunt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Renton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Foster, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Renton will head out to take on Tyee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.7 runs per game on average), something the Red Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Foster, they will challenge Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
