Cair Paravel lost against Maranatha Christian Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Karsyn Hastert paced Cair Paravel's offense, picking up three kills. Hastert got some help from Clare Everhart and her nine assists. Finally, Sophia Habiger kept Cair Paravel's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Maranatha Christian Academy was led to victory by Macy Karlin and Scarlet Hart. Karlin had nine digs and one assist, while Hart had four aces. Those four aces gave Hart a new career-high.

Cair Paravel's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Cair Paravel will take on Onaga at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will face off against Marysville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
