The Senatobia Warriors were the 62-52 winner over the New Albany Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Senatobia was the victim of a tough 71-49 loss at the hands of New Albany on Tuesday. Senatobia has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Braden Shettles was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with five steals for New Albany. The game was Shettles' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kylan Lindsey, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Senatobia's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for New Albany, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North Pontotoc the next time they take the court. Senatobia will host North Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while New Albany will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
