Basketball Recap: Union Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

Union Academy had won 11 straight home games dating back to last season and Paisley Boatright did her part to make it 12 on Tuesday. The Union Academy Cardinals blew past the North Stanly Comets, posting a 51-17 win thanks in part to Boatright, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Kayl Starnes, who posted three points and four steals. Starnes is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Union Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for North Stanly, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Union Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-59 win against Albemarle on the 9th. As for North Stanly, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-35 victory against North Rowan on the 9th.
