The Lakeview Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 51-27 loss at the hands of Harding. Lakeview lost against Harding in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 38-34 score last time.
Despite the loss, Lakeview saw an underclassman step up: Mackenzie Stowe scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nadia Mcqueen, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Taylor, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
The last time Lakeview won on the road was back last Wednesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 1-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Harding, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview's road trip will continue as they head out to face East at 6:15 p.m. on December 7th. As for Harding, they will take on Lake Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
