The Kutztown Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Saucon Valley Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kutztown pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 72-55 fall against Antietam. Kutztown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Saucon Valley was the victim of a rough 64-41 loss at the hands of Notre Dame-Green Pond on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Saucon Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Notre Dame-Green Pond is ranked 45th).
Kutztown's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Saucon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Kutztown came up short against Saucon Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 58-45. Thankfully for Kutztown, Cydae Joseph-Davis (who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
