The Troy Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 80-46 win over Highland. The score was close at the half, but Troy pulled away in the second half with 50 points.
When it comes to explaining why Highland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Goeckner. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 29 points and 18 rebounds. Goeckner is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trevor Knowlton, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Troy's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Highland, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
