Softball Recap: Brandywine Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

While Brandywine put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Delcastle Technical. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Cougars. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.

Lindsey Stoklosa made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brandywine got a massive performance out of Lilah Goldstein, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Goldstein a new career-high. Kaelyn O'Connor was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Brandywine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Brandywine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.1 runs. As for Delcastle Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Brandywine is taking a road trip to square off against Concord at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Delcastle Technical, they will welcome Newark at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
