The Christian Heritage Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 59-48 to Southwest Virginia Academy. Christian Heritage Academy lost against Southwest Virginia Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-42 score last time.
Christian Heritage Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Young, who scored 17 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Young has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Mason, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Christian Heritage Academy bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Christian Heritage Academy will head out on the road to square off against Boys' Home at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Boys' Home comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shenandoah Valley HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m.
