Nevada made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Republic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Nevada blew past Republic 12-2 on Saturday. Nevada might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Nevada is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Republic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Nevada wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-12 victory against Bolivar on the 14th. As for Republic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-2 win against Central on the 15th.
