Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Danville Warriors walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 53-14 victory over the Tigers on the road. Danville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Danville's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Ancelet, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. Addison Davis was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lebanon struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Danville racked up 17 assists.
The win was the seventh in a row for Danville, bringing their record for this year to 22-3. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
Danville and the Sparkplugs will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Speedway is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
