Softball Recap: Glades Day Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Glades Day barely beat Royal Palm Beach the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Glades Day Gators never let the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by 13 runs or more this season.

Royal Palm Beach's batters probably weren't too happy with Kristabella Flournah, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (she gave up zero walks). Flournah has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reilly Baltazar, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Juliet Alegria, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Glades Day pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Royal Palm Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Glades Day and Royal Palm Beach will both be playing Lake Worth the next time they take the field. Glades Day will head out to face Lake Worth at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Royal Palm Beach will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
