The Williams Yellowjackets came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 61-53 win over CORE Butte on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Williams, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Williams was led to victory by Miguel Murillo and Kyden Bowen. Murillo scored 16 points, while Bowen scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bowen has scored at least a third of Williams' points.
Williams' victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for CORE Butte, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-18.
Williams will take on Biggs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for CORE Butte, they will head out on the road to take on Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
