The matchup between Monte Vista and High Tech CV on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Monte Vista Monarchs enjoyed a cozy 70-51 victory over the High Tech CV Bruins. Winning may never get old, but the Monarchs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the loss, High Tech CV still got an impressive performance from Kyle Ilagan, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Gabriel Lopez was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Monte Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for High Tech CV, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Monte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-50 win against Grossmont on the 30th.
