Volleyball Recap: Mount Pleasant Snags Third Win in Last Four Games + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Pleasant faced off against Central Academy of Technology & Arts on Monday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Mount Pleasant walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 25-12.

Raegan Boyd paced Mount Pleasant's offense, picking up 13 kills. Boyd got some help from Jaydan Brafford and her 36 assists. Boyd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Ayelen Rodriguez and Fiona Mollica certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Rodriguez had 11 digs, while Mollica had 19 digs and three aces. Mollica is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Mount Pleasant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mount Pleasant will challenge rival West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Central Academy of Technology & Arts is set to take on their familiar foe Parkwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
