Zander Tomczak was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gunnar Tinari made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Spencer Sharp, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, Legend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Vista.
Legend saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Brush, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Brush has hit this season.
