Pieper typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Canyon proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Warriors. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Canyon's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Pieper, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9-1 record this season.

Canyon will challenge La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Pieper, they will take on New Braunfels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
