The Milpitas Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Cornerstone Christian with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. Given Milpitas' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Cornerstone Christian is ranked 501st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from AJ McCoy, who scored 20 points. The matchup was McCoy's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Lukacs, who scored ten points.
Milpitas' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
