After each having a week off, the University Christian Christians and the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but University Christian had to settle for a 29-26 loss against Bishop Kenny. University Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, University Christian had strong showings from Alan Woods III, who rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and Brandon Riddle, who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over Specially Fit Academy. Considering Trinity Christian Academy has won four matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Trinity Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colin Hurley, who threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Cameron Anderson was in the mix too, providing Trinity Christian Academy with two touchdowns.
University Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
University Christian lost to Trinity Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 14-0 margin in their previous meeting back in October.
