Seabreeze is 8-2 against Pine Ridge since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Sandcrabs will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Seabreeze is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Seabreeze took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Crescent City 15-5. The Sandcrabs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Alyssa Checho made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Checho was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Chloe Sebastian was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Lucy Kimble, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Seabreeze always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crescent City only posted an OBP of .353.
Meanwhile, Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Lyman, falling 13-3.
Pine Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
The win got Seabreeze back to even at 4-4. As for Pine Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Pine Ridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seabreeze has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. It's a different story for Pine Ridge, though, as they've only averaged .302. Will they be able to contain Seabreeze's hitters?
Seabreeze got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Pine Ridge by a conclusive 18-2 score. Will the Sandcrabs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
