The Stratford Academy Eagles won the last time they faced the First Presbyterian Day Vikings, and things went their way on Thursday too. Stratford Academy was the clear victor by a 66-45 margin over First Presbyterian Day. Given Stratford Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while First Presbyterian Day is ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Khalil Green was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Stratford Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvis Smith II, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Stratford Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for First Presbyterian Day, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Stratford Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-51 win vs. Tattnall Square Academy on the 9th. First Presbyterian Day has also already played their next matchup, a 67-54 loss against Mount de Sales Academy on the 9th.
