The Selah Vikings will head out to challenge the Moses Lake Mavericks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Moses Lake will be up against a hot Selah squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Vikings put the hurt on Quincy with a sharp 18-2 victory on Tuesday.
Aspin Grubenhoff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had over her last 11 matchups.

In other batting news, Kylie Colton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two triples, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Avery Brewer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Selah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Moses Lake got themselves on the board against Cheney on Monday, but Cheney never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Blackhawks.
The result came thanks to Avanie Avalos's shutout, as she gave up just two hits.
At the plate, Moses Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alina Lopez, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Selah's record is now 15-3. As for Moses Lake, their record now sits at 10-1.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Selah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .561. However, it's not like Moses Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .526. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
